I honestly haven't checked/updated this blog in more than a month, and I'm feeling a little crappy about it. I feel like I've said this on the last few posts I did, but it still rings true. Even more so now.
I don't have much free time as I did when I started this blog. Seriously, I had to buy a planner and everything. That's how I know my life is getting hectic LOL.
Anyway. Since I'm starting to slowly inch back into the blogging game, I decided to dip my toes in with a little "What's In My Bag?" Post.
These posts were pretty popular for awhile and even have their own little niche on YouTube, filled with perfectly airbrushed girls and their designer bags pulling out tons of high end makeup, expensive sunnies, etc. This post won't be that. I can't/don't wear sunglasses because it's cold outside and the sun has abandoned me, also because I wear glasses most of the time. The most I can do makeup wise is lipstick and eyeliner. I'm also not about to put things in my bag that I don't need.
I used to carry around a huuuuge bag. Like crazy huge. I used to have my whole life in it. School books, stationery, half a pack of tampons, lipgloss, two phone chargers, etc. I've since learned that I need to carry a smaller bag so that I bring less stuff with me. It kinda sucks that I've had to "train" myself in that way, but it is what it is.
Moving on to the (not so) important stuff!
As you can see, it's not much.
Marc by Marc Jacobs "Totally Turnlock" Natasha Crossbody Bag
Okay so this has become my everyday bag. It's my staple, my baby. This bag looks small, but it's so roomy. It has 2 interior pockets, one with a zip closure and one without. I'm not sure if this counts as a pocket but I recently discovered that the flap, which features a zip around the edge, also opens up as extra storage. The space goes all the way to the back of the handbag, so the exterior lining is essentially a whole pocket. In what world?
Everyone needs a good, sturdy black handbag and this bag is it for me. That leather ain't going nowhere.
Marc by Marc Jacobs "Totally Turnlock" Wallet
I literally got this wallet two days ago and I'm already acting brand new with it. I used to have an old square Kate Spade one before, and I used that one for about a year and a half. This is about to be my new forever wallet. I've never had a wallet that matched my bag before, maybe this is another part of growing up. Anyway, so this super cute wallet zips around and has an interior zip pocket for coins. I find it's the perfect balance between a big wallet and a small one.
Marc by Marc Jacobs "Petal to the Metal" Coin Purse
This was actually my first Marc Jacobs purchase, bought well before the bag and wallet. At the time I had a crap ton of coins in my old wallet, to the point where I needed to buy separate storage for my coins and bus tokens. This little coin purse is my first and only, I don't think I'll ever part with it.
Apple EarPods in a Beats by Dre Earbud Case
I used to have Beats Earbuds, but they broke on me in like 3 weeks. Super disappointing for expensive earbuds. Anyway, I've had my Apple ones for about a year and a half now and they haven't conked out on me yet. I feel naked when I don't have my EarPods with me. They're essential on my commutes to work, when I'm running errands, when I'm getting groceries, etc. I hated the hard case that came with my Apple ones, so I swapped it out for my Beats case. It's small, soft, durable, and zips up so I know my EarPods aren't going to be tangled up all willy nilly in the bottom of my bag.
Misc. Other Items
The rest of the items pictured are just your everyday purse necessities such as chapstick, Tylenol, hand sanitizer, etc. As aforementioned, not much.
I hope you guys enjoyed this little post, I plan on posting a lot more in the future as I slowly transition back into blogging :)
